Shortly after winning the election, the President 'joked' that Canada should become the 51st state of the U.S. if we didn't want to face a 25 percent tariff on our goods.

Suddenly, our shared history, our distinct identity, our very sovereignty felt… vulnerable. The friendly giant to the north, known for its polite demeanor and peacekeeping prowess, found itself facing a challenge unlike any it had seen before. The threat wasn't military; it was a threat to our very essence, to the independent soul that had been forged in the crucible of our unique history.

Canadians, by nature, are not boastful people. We don't often wave our flag or thump our chests. But beneath the quiet confidence lies a deep, unwavering love for our country. We value our healthcare, our multiculturalism, our breathtaking landscapes, and the quiet dignity that defines us. And we fiercely protect our right to be… Canadian.

The thought of becoming just another star on our neighbour's flag is NOT something Canadians want. It was a spark that ignited a fire, a quiet defiance that resonated from coast to coast to coast.
